  • Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $87,493 - $96,450 + Super

The Data Visualisation Analyst works within the Digital Products team, which deliver a wide range of digital products. This exciting role is responsible for consulting with key users and stakeholders to design and develop meaningful dashboards and visualisation products. The visualisations are used by our internal and external customers to gain insights that inform their decision making, and complements the broader remit of the Evidence and Insights branch around research, reporting and data storytelling.


The Analyst Data Visualisation Specialist will:

  • Work within a multidisciplinary team of specialists analysts to analyse user requirements into well scoped, technically robust projects that deliver practical customer driven outcomes
  • Have a high level of stakeholder engagement capability, verbal communication, data storytelling and documentation skills.
  • Produce well written, evidence-led, accurate and timely deliverables, including digital products for internal and external stakeholders to facilitate evidence-based decision making.
  • Ideally have expertise working with large and/or complex data to conveying key insights using storytelling approaches and balancing this with appealing design that adheres to design standards.

About You

  • Experience in data analytics, business intelligence, dashboard design and visualization which cater to different audience types. Experience or knowledge in Design processes and Business Analyst skills would be desirable

Essential Requirements

  • Experience or knowledge about developing clear, meaningful and visually appealing data visualisations and evaluating user experience
  • Tertiary qualifications in design, statistics, business intelligence, data science, or related discipline and/or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Programming skills in Python or R, as well as the ability to comprehend complex data, will be highly regarded.
